NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Houston Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers (3-1) defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (2-2) in a thrilling 72-68 victory to advance to the quarterfinals of the NBA Summer League 2013 Championship.

After the Bucks went on a 6-0 run with less than three minutes in the fourth quarter, point guard Lester Hudson was able to tie the game at 66-a-piece.

The Lakers were then able to force a turnover on John Henson, which led to Robert Sacre’s would-be game-winning shot. Sacre converted on the three-point play to give the Lakers the victory.

Marcus Landry led the Lakers with a game-high 18 points while Sacre chipped in with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Henson had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucks.

The Lakers will return to action on Saturday evening at 7:00 pm PST against the winner of the Golden State Warriors-Dallas Mavericks game.
