VIDEO: Lakers Nation Interviews Nick Young At Drew League

Lakers Nation caught up with new Lakers small forward/guard Nick Young at the Drew League on Saturday. Young is a California native, growing up in Los Angeles and playing for USC. In between his professional NBA career, playing for the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers, Young made his way back to LA for a short stint with the Clippers, but Young says playing for the Clippers can’t compare to playing in the purple and gold.

“It’s like a little brother and big brother. Being purple and gold, there’s nothing like it.”

Young, a player who looks to shoot first, is excited to play in a D’Antoni system that caters to his strengths. The 28 year-old feels as if he’s been overlooked the past several years and is excited to be in the spotlight. Don’t expect Nick Young to dial back his shooting, even if Kobe stares him down.

“I’m going to tell [Kobe]…I can’t stop right now, my hands is hot!”

Good luck with that Nick! Lakers Nation is sure looking forward to that one. Check out our interview below and don’t forget to click here to subscribe to our Lakers Nation YouTube Channel.
