Lakers News: Phil Jackson Tweets Rapper Kendrick Lamar

Rapper Kendrick Lamar has made the social media world shake in the past 24 hours due to his verse on a new Big Sean song entitled ‘Control’. In Lamar’s verse, he proceeded to call out almost every big name artist in the game today including Drake, Meek Mill, and Wale.

Lamar also mentioned former Lakers head coach Phil Jackson with a simple lyric, ‘If Phil Jackson came back, still no coaching me.’ This gave the Zen Master all he needed to drop a little knowledge on the Compton MC and Jackson took to twitter to make his statement:

Jackson is definitely raising his street cred by speaking to the young lyricist as Kendrick is one of the hottest up and coming MCs in hip-hop today and the Twittersphere is still buzzing because of his verse.

I wonder if Jackson said the same thing to a young Kobe back in the day. If so, Kendrick could be starting down his road to becoming one of the greatest MCs of all-time.
