A lot of NBA players have been giving their Top 5 lists of all time lately, and this time around it’s Julius Erving. Erving began with saying that if LeBron James is going to become the greatest player of all time, he’s going to have to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar — not Michael Jordan — to top the list.
However, Erving doesn’t even have Abdul-Jabbar on his list of Top 5 players of all time, but he does include three former Lakers among his top five: Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West and Oscar Robertson.
So to recap, Dr. J believes that Kareem is the greatest player of all time, but his personal list of Top 5 players doesn’t include either Kareem or Jordan, but includes Chamberlain, Baylor, and West. Watch what Erving had to say below.
