No Kobe, no LeBron, no Wade.  These are just three of the big names that were on the 2008 Olympic team, but not on the 2010 FIBA Championship team.  Many people believed that  USA did not have a good chance of winning gold, as there was no true star power on the team.  However, this squad has proven everyone wrong and is surprising fans from all over the world.  After they beat Iran, 88-51, team USA improved to 3-0 and secured the top seed in the knock-out stage.

Andrew Bynum will be the starting center for the Lakers next season, and his height is the greatest asset  he brings to the Lakers.  With Bynum and Pau in the lineup, the Lakers have two giants on their front line and essentially unstoppable in the paint. [ESPN Los Angeles]
