Last month, Kobe Bryant and Stephon Marbury had a mini-reunion as part of Bryant’s Lenovo tour. The two players came into the league together in 1996, and Marbury was very complimentary of Bryant, saying that Kobe is still the best player in the NBA.

Marbury’s statement generated some chatter as most believe LeBron James has surpassed Bryant as the best player in the world.

On Monday, the former All-Star reiterated his statement, but included LeBron James and Derrick Rose if he returns completely healthy from a torn ACL, via Twitter:

There shouldn’t be much disagreement regarding Marbury’s recent statement on Twitter as Kobe, LeBron, and Rose are the only three players to have won the Most Valuable Player award since 2008, with James winning four of them. If Bryant and Rose come back healthy from their injuries, each definitely will be considered one of the best players in the league.

It’s interesting to note that Marbury left Kevin Durant out of this statement again, as he is considered by many to be the second best player in the NBA.
