Sasha Vujacic was a fan favorite during his time with the Lakers. Most remember “The Machine” as a shooting guard with good size and a pesky defender, but his last two free throws as a Laker gave the Lakers a 83-79 lead and the 2010 NBA title.
The next season Vujacic was traded to the Nets and after the season he decided to take his talents to Europe. He signed a two year contract with the turkish club, Anadolu Efes. After two years in Istanbul, Vujacic wants to return to the NBA and has been in Los Angeles working hard to relaunch his NBA career.
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Vujacic has been looking sharp and is determined to land on an NBA team. There is no sign the Lakers are interested in Vujacic, but he was a good fit for the Lakers then and could potentially provide experience and youth to this Laker team now.
