Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Still Has No ‘Timetable’ For Return

The one question everyone was asking during media day for the Los Angeles Lakers was the timetable for Kobe Bryant’s return to the floor. Although Kobe has made a miraculous recovery from surgery on his ruptured Achilles tendon, the five-time NBA champion still doesn’t know when he’ll be good to go or a realistic timetable for where he should be right now physically.

“I feel good, said Bryant.” I don’t think we have really a timetable of where I should be right now.”

Realistically, Kobe won’t be returning until late November or early December. Rumors have circulated of the team setting a date of Dec. 1 for Kobe’s return. It remains to be seen whether or not that can or will happen, but as usual, Kobe is as confident as ever.

With the season getting underway on October 29 against the division rival Los Angeles Clippers, the speculation will kick into high gear with everyone anxiously waiting for the return of the face of the franchise. Bryant has already been ruled out for the preseason, but the season opener remains a possibility with about four weeks left until the Lakers take on the Clippers at Staples Center.
