Lakers Preseason

After a narrow victory against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, the Lakers will look to continue to implement Mike D’Antoni’s offense and see which players will make the probable 15-man roster against the Sacramento Kings in Vegas.

While Wesley Johnson and Jordan Farmar will not play tonight for precautionary reasons, this gives players like Xavier Henry the opportunity to continue to show why they deserve to make the team on opening night and give more playing opportunities to the other camp invites.

One of the biggest things to watch tonight is the combination of Pau Gasol and Chris Kaman. The biggest takeaway from Tuesday’s night game was how well both played together. They were able to find each other for easy baskets and made excellent passes to their teammates from the high post. After the game on Tuesday, Gasol is hopeful that they will continue to play together and show Mike D’Antoni that they can be both effective on the court together.

The Lakers-Kings preseason game tips-off at 7:00 p.m. PST on TWC Sportsnet.
