A storyline that has been discussed ad naseum this preseason is the health of starting point guard Steve Nash. His age coupled with his injury issues over the last year have raises eyebrows and sparked discussion about how much he’s going to be able to contribute this season.

There have been discussions about the idea of sitting Nash on the second of back-to-backs, and it looks like the Lakers may do just that with the first two games of the season, according to the LA Daily News’ Mark Medina.

Nash said that he was open to the idea of sitting on the second of back-to-backs after the Lakers final preseason game of the season, but wasn’t exactly excited about the idea, either.

As a competitor, Nash would like to be out on the floor for as many games as possible, but sitting on the second of back-to-backs could be a way to ensure that he’s able to make it through the season with as few setbacks as possible.
