Lakers News: Jordan Hill An All-Star Caliber Player?

High energy big man, Jordan Hill has been playing inspirational basketball as of late. Hill has set career nights in his last few games and has made it nearly impossible for Mike D’Antoni not to start him. He had a career night against New Orleans with 21 points and got one of the best rising centers in the league Anthony Davis in foul trouble that kept him out almost the entire game. Hill then followed up that effort with another career night against Detroit and went off for 24 points and 17 rebounds, both which are career highs. This raises the question if Hill can be the Lakers savior or if he can be an All-Star player?

D’Antoni sure thinks so according to Bill Oram. D’Antoni was quoted that the Lakers brought fake energy, but with Jordan Hill there is no denying his effort and constant energy on both sides of the floor. If Hill is over looked as an All Star, he definitely will be considered as one of the most improved players in the league.

Look for Hill to continue his production on the court as D’Antoni has finally got a starting lineup that will last him until Kobe Bryant comes back into the lineup. The next question will be whether he can keep his minutes and stats with Bryant back, some one that requires the ball in his hands for most of the possessions.
