After a day off on Thanksgiving, the Lakers are back in action in what will be their last game of a three game road trip. The Lakers started off with a disappointing loss against the Washington Wizards but bounced back in what ended up being a close game against the Brooklyn Nets. They will be taking on the Detroit Pistons, who have been inconsistent this season and are sitting on a 6-9 record.
Tonight will be the second time the two teams meet this season after the Lakers won in their first meeting, 114-99, earlier this month when Jordan Hill had his best game of the season scoring a career high of 24 points and grabbing 17 rebounds. Nick Young, who sprained his finger in the win against the Nets, is expected to play tonight. With superstar Kobe Bryant still out, but close to returning, the Lakers have been able to stay competitive and play exciting basketball under Mike D’Antoni. With a win over Detroit the Lakers will be above .500 and end their road trip on a high note.
What are the keys for a Lakers’ victory tonight? Can Kobe Bryant adapt to a different style of play?
