Kendall Marshall

After his double-double performance against the Utah Jazz, Kendall Marshall shared that he gained 8,000 to 9,000 followers on Twitter the following day at practice. While it was a nice boost for the former 2012 lottery pick, Marshall is still waiting for one person in particular to follow him back on Twitter.

An hour after Kobe Bryant tweeted that a new follow system was coming, Marshall asked the five-time champion for a follow back:

Unfortunately for Marshall, Bryant hasn’t followed him back as of Sunday morning. Maybe it’ll take another double-double for Bryant to consider adding his newest teammate.

Although it has only been one game, head coach Mike D’Antoni couldn’t help but compare Marshall’s performance to Jeremy Lin’s during his time in New York. While he has done a solid job of creating opportunities for his teammates, it’ll be interesting to see what Marshall does against Ty Lawson tonight as the Lakers host the Denver Nuggets.
