Kobe Bryant Talks About Nick Young’s Kobe Impersonation

130413110806-kobe-bryant-injury-future-single-image-cutBefore the Lakers took the floor to play their last game of a four-game home stand against the Denver Nuggets, Kobe Bryant took a few minutes to talk to the media. Bryant was asked about several topics that included the trade rumors surrounding Pau Gasol and the upcoming All-Star game.

Another topic Bryant was asked about is what he thought of his Laker teammate Nick Young’s impersonation of him, which took place before the Lakers played the Utah Jazz on January 3. The media was expecting Bryant to speak before the game which led to reporters surrounding his locker. What they got instead was Young holding the press conference as the five-time NBA champion.

Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters asked Bryant about Young’s impersonation and he was apparently not all that impressed by it:

Young, aka “Swaggy P,” has been a bright spot for the Lakers in a season filled with injuries and disappointments. So far this season, Young has averaged 16.4 points per game and has had a big impact coming off the bench.

The Lakers are looking to have a lot of free cap space for next season to try to make a run at one of the upcoming big-name free agents. Young is one of the few Lakers that can be back next season if he chooses to use a player option. Young spent last season playing for the Philadelphia 76ers and was a free agent when the Lakers signed him to a two year, $2.3 million deal at the veteran’s minimum and has a player option in the second year.
