Injuries have torn apart the Los Angeles Lakers this season with some of the biggest names on the team on the shelf for the majority of the season.

After the loss to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, Pau Gasol’s name might have been added to the list of injured Lakers, but it appears he’ll be good to go against the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday according to Bill Oram of the OC Register:

Second-year center Robert Sacre helped fill the void for Gasol against the Pacers to start the second half. No reports of Gasol suffering an injury in the first half against Indiana had surfaced, but Sacre was in the game to get the third quarter underway.

Fortunately, Gasol came out of the locker room and immediately got into the game shortly after the third quarter began. Although it was reported soon after that Gasol had injured his groin, the four-time All-Star remained in the game and put up solid numbers against one of the best frontcourts in the league led by David West and Roy Hibbert.

Gasol will attempt to help stop the bleeding for the Lakers tonight at the Staples Center with the lowly Bobcats coming to town. The Lakers have lost five straight and are in desperate need of a win.
