With World Peace spending time with another superstar, Carmelo Anthony, this season, the veteran forward believes that he should take a page out of Kobe’s book according to Frank Isola of New York Daily News:

“Kobe doesn’t give a (bleep), he just wants to win,” Metta said. “Melo needs to be more demanding and he needs to see results. The only difference between him and Kobe is that Kobe saw results. When Kobe said something people did that (stuff). Carmelo has no choice but to make it his personality because he’s a great player. There are not too many guys like him.”

Once the 2013-14 NBA season comes to an end, Anthony will have a big decision to make in terms of his immediate future. Anthony will have the opportunity to opt-out of his deal with the New York Knicks and may elect to do so if the team continues to struggle.

The Lakers have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Carmelo in free agency. It remains uncertain whether or not Anthony will opt-out and sign with the Lakers, but it continues to be a hot topic of discussion with the future looking bleak in New York.
