The Los Angeles Lakers made their one appearance in Atlanta on Monday night, and as is often the case when they on the road, the arena was full of fans wearing purple and gold to support their team.
Very few teams in all of sports have the national fanbase that the Lakers possess, and they were out in full force at Philips Arena. But with the Lakers dominating a Hawks team with one of the worst records in the league, there wasn’t much for Hawks Twitter to speak positively about.
As such, the Hawks official Twitter account decided to poke some fun at the Lakers fans in attendance and their choice of jerseys for Monday’s game, starting a funny thread:
"Is he on the current roster?"

In addition to the likes of Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and Magic Johnson, the Hawks page also found fans wearing the jerseys of players like Nick Van Exel and Michael Cooper before ending it with the final picture of the Lonzo Ball jersey.
In fairness to the Hawks Twitter page, this is one of the more creative ways to troll fans. Not that Lakers fans should in any way feel bad about supporting the outstanding history of this franchise, but it was a humorous thread nonetheless.
In the end, the most important thing is what happens on the court and the Lakers were far ahead of the Hawks in that regard. The Lakers fans in attendance ultimately had the last laugh as chants of “Let’s Go Lakers” far outweighed those of “Beat L.A.”
