Ever dreamed of owning a Lakers championship ring while helping out a great cause? Former NBA player and retired head coach Bill Sharman, who led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 33-game winning streak in 1971-1972, is raffling his 2010 Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship ring that will help benefit eight different charities.
The raffle launched in April and will end on Friday, June 7th, 2013. Tickets are $2 each (with a minimum purchase of five tickets), and the grand prize winner will also receive two premium tickets to a Los Angeles Lakers game during the 2013-2014 NBA season, a travel allowance (if needed), and a cash prize for tax purposes.
Tickets can be purchased at billsringofhope.com or celebritiesforcharity.org, and proceeds will benefit The James Worthy Foundation, Toberman Neighborhood Center, Angel’s Nest, Providence TrinityCare Hospice Foundation, Public Counsel, Lakers Youth Foundation, and the West Coast Sports Medicine Foundation, and Xcel University.
Sharman is still only one of three men inducted into the Hall of Fame as both a player and coach. You can share this once in a lifetime opportunity as Bill’s Ring of Hope seeks to fund many different institutions and organizations that want to make a difference around the world.
