Over the past few weeks, new head coach Byron Scott has been trying to put his coaching staff together for the 2014-15 NBA season. Unfortunately, despite reports of Scott finalizing his roster sooner rather than later, the three-time NBA champion has added only a few names to his coaching staff.

On Sunday, it was reported by Marc Stein of ESPN that Scott might be closing in on a relatively unknown addition to the coaching staff:

As of right now, Mark Madsen and Jim Eyen headline Scott’s staff, but that could soon change with the potential addition of Kokoskov. According to Stein, Kokoskov was a member of Mike Brown’s staff last season in Cleveland:
Kokoskov, of Serbia, was on Mike Brown's staff in Cleveland last season and just led Georgia to qualification for next summer's EuroBasket

As it always tends to do in Los Angeles, the rumors have run rampant about who could be added to Scott’s coaching staff before next season. One former Laker that has been mentioned as a potential candidate is Gary Payton, but there hasn’t been much traction on that front since the rumor surfaced a few weeks ago. Payton has also been linked to an assistant position under Jason Kidd with the Milwaukee Bucks.
