According to Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation, head coach Byron Scott identified the development of Jordan Clarkson as the biggest positive of the season:
Byron: “Positive is that we found a young player that will be good.” talking about Jordan Clarkson (obviously) #Lakers

Clarkson wasn’t highly thought of when he was drafted 46th overall, but he quickly turned heads in Summer League when he led the Lakers squad in scoring. Though he didn’t play much early in the season, he took advantage of the opportunity given to him when he was inserted into the starting lineup.
He averaged 15.8 points and five assists as a starter and won Western Conference Rookie of the Month honors in March. Many feel that Clarkson will make All-Rookie First Team thanks to his late season surge and he looks to be a player the Lakers will count on in the future.
The off-season will bring many changes to the Lakers, but Clarkson is sure to be a major part of the team’s future. His progression was huge this season and he gave Lakers fans everywhere hope that the future of the team isn’t as bleak as it seems now.
