Clippers Fans Hang Balloons on Magic Johnson Statue At Staples

With the Clippers opening their playoff series at home on Saturday night and the Lakers in San Antonio to start their quest on the road, the Clipper fans decided to do a little re-decorating outside of the Staples Center. The Clippers hung some balloons onto the Magic Johnson statue outside of the Staples Center before their first game with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Johnson, who is on the ESPN studio show, laughed at the notion and wasn’t too upset about the Clippers hanging their balloons on his statue. But that doesn’t seem to be sitting too well with Laker fans, who aren’t exactly thrilled with the brash move by the Clippers taking over Staples. Here’s what Lakers Nation followers were saying about the Clipper balloons.
