After being cut from the Los Angeles Lakers before the start of the regular season Gerald Green and Malcolm Thomas have both found homes with the Lakers’ developmental team, the D-Fenders.

The D-Fenders announced the signing the day after bringing in Elijah Millsap, Zach Andrews and Courtney Fortson from NBA training camp rosters.

Both Green and Thomas were on the Lakers pre-season roster following the second exhibition game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Malcolm Thomas, a 6-9 forward who attended San Diego State, helped lead the Aztecs to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance last season, averaging 11.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.02 blocks in 30.4 minutes.

Gerald Green was selected by Boston as the 18th overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NBA Draft. Green, who signed with the Lakers pres-eason roster on December 9, has appeared in 181 games (41 starts) over four seasons with the Celtics, Timberwolves, Mavericks and Rockets.
