D-Fenders News: Jamario Moon Seeking Return To NBA

Charlotte Bobcats v Orlando Magic

After going undrafted in 2001, Jamario Moon spent time in the D-League and overseas before finally getting his chance with the Toronto Raptors in 2007. During his time in the NBA, Moon averaged 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds while providing electrifying dunks.

Heading into this season, Moon is a member of the Los Angeles D-Fenders. While he has played well during training camp and is excited about the season, Moon is seeking a return to the NBA. At the team’s media day on Wednesday, Moon is determined to not only get back to the NBA, but hopes to find stability for the first time in his career:

“For me, I want to work hard everyday and get back to the next level — and stay.”

While Moon is 33-years-old now and people may feel that he’s lost a step, he feels confident that he can still contribute for an NBA team:

“I work out everyday, so I take care of my body. I still feel I’m 25, 26 years old. It’s basically coming in here and proving to everybody I can still play this game.”

Considering all that he’s gone through during his career, Moon remains optimistic and cherishes every moment. He continues to work extremely hard and hopes that a return is in sight.

Moon has spent the past two seasons with the D-Fenders. In his first year, Moon averaged 17.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.8 steals before receiving a call-up from the Charlotte Bobcats.
