D-Fenders News: Team Sets Franchise Record In Win Against Bakersfield

The D-Fenders set a new franchise record for points scored in a single game during their 155-140 win against the Bakersfield Jam on Wednesday night.

The D-Fenders and the Jam would start the game neck and neck with 12 lead changes in the first quarter alone. Los Angeles’ dominant 3-point shooting throughout the game is what would eventually set them apart. Making a team total of 26 baskets from behind the arc, the D-Fenders would set a new NBA D-League record of 3-point field goals made in a single game.

Terrence Williams would be the squad’s top performer with 29 points and eight assists despite being taken out for an injury in the fourth quarter. Williams’ performance would be accompanied by double-digit scoring from six of his teammates, most notably C.J. Williams with 26 points and Shawne Williams with 23 points.

This win improves the D-Fenders’ record to 16-11, which puts them in a three-way tie with Santa Cruz and Reno for first place in the West Division.
