These days, Dwight Howard is probably the most hated player in the NBA amongst Los Angeles Lakers fans. After only one season, Howard left the Lakers to join the Houston Rockets and fans have been booing him loudly ever since.

Despite the departure and reported issues with Lakers star Kobe Bryant, Howard still respects the Lakers star, saying that his legacy revolves around the five NBA championships he’s won. According to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News, Howard also called Bryant a future Hall of Famer:
Dwight on Kobe's legacy:"5 championships." Dwight then pointed to wall at Windward gym that read "Hall of Fame." Dwight:"That's Kobe Bryant"

Bryant is undoubtedly a first-ballot Hall of Famer and he will be the face of his class as soon as he is eligible to be enshrined. Bryant is all about winning and those five championships he owns can never be taken away.
Of course Bryant’s legacy is far more than just the rings as he is one of the greatest scorers the NBA has ever seen. His competitiveness, drive and focus is nearly unmatched in the history of basketball and his longevity in the league is something that very few can match.
Everyone, of course, wants to win a championship at the end of the day and many greats would trade their individual accomplishments for one championship. Howard will surely do everything in his power to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy at some point in his career. His only NBA Finals appearance ended at the hands of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers in 2009.
