Eagle & Badge Gala Honors Jerry Buss and Mike Brown

While always doing our best to serve you with the latest and greatest news concerning the Los Angeles Lakers, sometimes at Lakers Nation we just like to tell you what’s going on in L.A. that doesn’t concern the Lakers.

One such event is the 2011 Eagle & Badge Foundation Gala scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 30. We were fortunate enough to receive invitations to the event, and believe it or not we won’t be the only Lakers fans in attendance.

In fact, Lakers owner Jerry Buss will be in attendance along with his family and new Lakers head coach Mike Brown.

All will be there in support of a foundation known as the LAPPL, which is an acronym for Los Angeles Police Protective League. The gala will be to honor them and everything they have done for the Los Angeles community.

The Eagle and Badge Foundation is an organization created by the members and supporters of the LAPPL that funds community projects throughout the Los Angeles area.

The donations made to the Eagle and Badge Foundation are directly applied to providing financial assistance to LAPD families in need.

Here’s a quick look at why attending this gala is not only good for the community, but why it also could be quite a bit of fun.
