Everything Be OK Campaign to Inspire H O P E from K O B E

After a game one loss to begin the playoffs, and it’s starting to feel like all hell is breaking loose in Lakers Nation. Amid this tough time for Lakers fans, a helpful new tactic to ease the frustrations is on the rise: E.B.O.K. (or Kobe spelled backwards) – everything is going to be just alright.

Created by former captain of the University of Michigan’s men’s basketball team, and now CEO of The IMU Brand, David Merritt has launched the movement in efforts to “impact youth all around the world.”

Merrit’s passion for maintaining a positive mentality and keeping a sense of faith during hardships inspired the E.B.O.K. movement, which will also act as a T-shirt release for people to outwardly display the campaign.

Aside from spreading optimism and encouragement, another primary goal of E.B.O.K. is to reach out to Kobe Bryant, with the hopes that he will help spread the message of maintaining faith and a positive mindset to even greater heights. In addition to advertising through Facebook (www.facebook.com/TheIMUBrand) and Twitter (@IMUTheInsideOut), they are also giving away discounts and prizes to those who help spread E.B.O.K. content through their own social networking tools.

A piece of all E.B.O.K. proceeds will go towards the After-School All-Stars program, which is a non-profit organization, for which Bryant acts as a National Celebrity Ambassador. The program works to provide free after-school programs to approximately 81,000 children at over 450 school campuses in 12 different cities, ranging from NYC to Hawaii.

In an effort to visually improve and reiterate the campaign’s message, E.B.O.K. released a promo video as well.

The E.B.O.K. T-shirt is available for purchase on IMU’s website – www.imutheinsideout.com for $32. E.B.O.K., however, is in no way associated with Kobe Bryant, himself.
