Fantasy Basketball Outlook: Swaggy P Heating Up!

We here at Lakers Nation know that Fantasy Basketball is a huge part of the culture in being a fan of the NBA. So for those of you that are currently in a league, and looking for some ways to improve your team, we’ve put together a list of players you should consider picking up this week to make your team that much better.

Point Guards

Reggie Jackson – With Russell Westbrook slotted to miss the next six weeks of basketball, Jackson is going to get a lot of minutes. In his last start he finished the game 16 points and eight assists. Expect that kind of production on a consistent basis.

Trending up: Mike Conley, Mario Chalmers

Trending down: Ramon Sessions

Shooting Guards

Giannis Antekokounmpo – He’s a guy that can rack up numbers in virtually every category, and has been producing at a solid rate as of late. Over his last five games he’s averaging 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 0.8 three-pointers while shooting 46 percent from the floor and 88 percent from the line.

Lance Stephenson – This man has been as close to a walking triple-doulbe as it gets lately. If he somehow is available in your league, do everything that you can to get him on your roster!

Trending up: Lou Williams, Marcus Thornton

Trending down: Xavier Henry

Small Forwards

Khris Middleton – He has remained in the starting lineup despite the fact the Bucks are finally healthy, and has manage to score 23 and 27 points in two of his last four games. His averages over the last five are 19.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.6 3-pointers on 48 percent shooting.

Nick Young –  Swaggy P has been on a tear lately, and has found fortune with scoring the ball. He’s reached the 20-point mark in six of his last seven games.

Trending up: James Johnson, Terrence Ross

Trending down: Richard Jefferson

Power Forwards

Terrence Jones – The Asik debacle in Houston has given Jones the opportunity to start alongside Dwight Howard, and he’s feeling it again after a mini-slump, going off for 19.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 blocks on 60 percent shooting over his last three games.

Jordan Hill – Since being placed in the starting lineup in Gasol’s absence, Hill has been playing well. Most recently he posted averages of 11.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 0.8 blocks over his last four games.

Trending up: Mike Scott, Anthony Tolliver

Trending down: Markeiff Morris

Center

Miles Plumlee – He may not be the guy that stands out among big men in the league, but he quietly gets the job done in an efficient fashion. He’s averaging 12.2 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks over his last five and it’s time to pick him up again, despite the three-game week.

Trending up: Enes Kanter, Tyler Zeller

Trending down: Andrew Bynum
