We here at Lakers Nation know that Fantasy Basketball is a huge part of the culture in being a fan of the NBA. For those of you that are currently in a league and looking for some ways to improve your team, we’ve put together a list of players you should consider picking up this week to make your team that much better.

Point Guards

Brian Roberts – With Jrue Holiday slated as out “indefinitely,” you should make it a priority of yours to get Roberts on your team. He’ll be slotted to get some big-time minutes with Holiday out, so he’s worth taking a chance on.

Jerryd Bayless -The trade to Boston has potential to help revitalize the production of Mr. Bayless. On Saturday, he had 12 points and six assists.

Trending up: Shaun Livingston, D.J. Augustin

Trending down: Jrue Holiday

Shooting Guards

Gerald Green –  Eric Bledsoe is expected to be out indefinitely due to another knee injury, which means that Green will fill-in as the starter at that shooting guard position. He’s been a legit scorer when given the opportunity, so make sure you grab him if he’s available.

Randy Foye – He’s scored in double figures in eight straight games and is averaging 18.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 4.0 3-pointers per game while hitting 55 percent of his shots in his last five games. Grab this man right now if you can.

Trending up: Terrence Ross

Trending down: O.J. Mayo

Small Forwards

C.J. Miles – He’s been scoring in double-figures in six of his last seven games, and is averaging 21.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 3.6 3-pointers over his last five games. I suppose the Deng trade has sparked a fire in his game.

James Johnson – He’s been splitting minutes with Tayshaun Prince at that small forward position lately and could wind up starting if his play continues to improve.

Trending up:Quincy Miller, DeMarre Carroll

Trending down: Corey Brewer

Power Forward

Terrence Jones – He’s averaging 12.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over his last 10 games. If he’s available in your league, he’s worth stashing for depth.

Taj Gibson –  Gibson continues to be productive for the Bulls. He’s scored in double-digits in 11 of his last 12 games and is averaging 13.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks over his last 10 games.

Trending up:Ed Davis

Trending down: Carlos Boozer

Center

Jared Sullinger – Jared has been a hit-or-miss as far as fantasy goes this season and lately, he’s been playing solid. Prior to his last game, he was averaging 17.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 0.5 blocks and 2.0 3-pointers on 15-of-31 shooting over a two game period.
