The Laker season came to an end Wednesday night with a win over the San Antonio Spurs 113-110. With the season finally behind them, the Lakers’ attention now shifts to the off-season. Most of the roster will be free agents during the summer, and the team will have to decide which players they want to come back. One player who could be a free agent is Nick Young, who will likely opt-out.

Young has a $1.2 million player option for next season and is expected to opt out. By opting out of his contract, Young will hit the market and field offers from other teams. He is likely to draw interest from other teams and earn more than $1.2 million his option called far.
Throughout the year, Young provided scoring off the bench and led the team with just under 18 points per game. Many fans came to love Young for his personality on and off court.
While Young’s future remains up in the air, he has expressed an interest in returning to the Lakers. In order to do that, he might have to accept a contract below what other teams offer.
Farmar will also be a free agent and said he would like to come back as a Laker. It will be interesting to see what the Lakers decide to do with the Young and Farmar in the summer.
