According to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, Jordan Farmar believes his playing days with Young can continue:

Young has a $1.2 million player option for next season and is expected to opt out. By opting out of his contract, Young will hit the market and field offers from other teams. He is likely to draw interest from other teams and earn more than $1.2 million his option called far.

Throughout the year, Young provided scoring off the bench and led the team with just under 18 points per game. Many fans came to love Young for his personality on and off court.

While Young’s future remains up in the air, he has expressed an interest in returning to the Lakers. In order to do that, he might have to accept a contract below what other teams offer.

Farmar will also be a free agent and said he would like to come back as a Laker. It will be interesting to see what the Lakers decide to do with the Young and Farmar in the summer.
