From the Developmental League to the Big Time – Shannon Brown Has Found Success


Sure, it was a preseason game: a late October evening in the packed Honda Center. But fans from all over Southern California gathered in Anaheim to celebrate the beginning of their Lakers’ championship defense. But Mikki Moore never saw it coming. It was one of the most thunderous dunks the NBA had seen in recent years.

Weeks before the beginning of the 2009-2010 NBA season, the man was already putting together his highlight real. It was a year that fans across the league would come to know the name Shannon Brown.

The Michigan State alum has gotten immense recognition since his entry into the league during the 2006 draft. He played a couple years buried deep into the benches of Cleveland, Chicago and Charlotte, but gained fame immediately as a member of the Lakers.
