[new_royalslider id=”71″]

Kobe Bryant made his triumphant return on Sunday against the Toronto Raptors. Despite the Lakers loss, Bryant had a solid game totaling nine points, eight assists, and four rebounds.

While everyone was focused on his game, and rightfully so, there was another message for Bryant in an unlikely place. Andy Bernstein posted a picture on his Instagram account of a special message that Kobe received in his shoes before his first game back:

The picture said simply, 81 points. It is a simple message, but one with a lot of meaning. It is no secret that Bryant scored his famous 81 points against the same Toronto Raptors that he returned against on Sunday.

Things like this probably serve as a reminder to Bryant of the great things he has accomplished throughout his storied career and what he is capable of. When you go through a devastating injury, doubt creeps in your mind about what you can do, but with little things like this, Bryant will be in no danger of doubting himself.
