Today, November 13th, is Metta World Peace’s 33rd birthday and we here at Lakers Nation send him our best wishes. World Peace is now in his 13th NBA season and his fourth with the Los Angeles Lakers.
After a very disappointing 2011-12 campaign, World Peace came into this season at the optimal condition and has been a very pleasant surprise for the Lakers. World Peace has once again become a threat from the perimeter and teams must know where he is at all times. In addition, his defensive intensity has returned and the Lakers can rely on him to limit the opponents’ best scorers.
The Lakers will need World Peace to be a consistent performer this season if they want to win a 17th championship. He has the potential to be a very effective small forward and with a lack-luster bench, his efforts will carry a lot of importance.
Los Angeles will play a game tonight versus the San Antonio Spurs, so let’s hope the Lakers can get a win for World Peace on his birthday.
