INSTAGRAM: V. Stiviano Shows Off Lakers Ring, Praises Dr. Jerry Buss

Over the last couple of years, the rivalry between the Lakers and their Staples Center co-tenants, the Los Angeles Clippers has grown immensely.

With the Clippers experiencing their greatest sustained run of success in the history of the franchise, they finally pose a legitimate threat to the Lakers. Stars like Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are some of the brightest the NBA has to offer.

The Clippers have recently had to deal with the ongoing saga of Donald Sterling’s lifetime ban from the NBA, and the NBA’s attempt to force a sale of the team. Sterling, for his part, is fighting the ban and suing the NBA.

The issue that caused this controversy centers around Sterling’s mistress, V. Stiviano, recording a conversation in which Sterling used racist remarks. The ongoing drama seems to have made Stiviano want to trade sides in the rivalry as she posted her hand with a Lakers championship ring on Instagram.

She also praised Lakers late owner Dr. Jerry Buss, calling him a philanthropist and an American hero. Check out the post below:
