After a disappointing stint with the Houston Rockets, Jeremy Lin will have an opportunity to resurrect his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Lin was traded to Lakers back in July and is looking forward to playing alongside Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles.

On Thursday, Lin had his wax figure unveiled at Madame Tussauds in San Francisco and spoke to the media shortly after about recently being traded to the Lakers:

“I’m definitely excited to be in LA,” Lin told Lakers Nation after his wax figure unveiling. “How I describe it, it is a fresh start. It’s a breath of fresh air to be able to start somewhere new.”

“I think it’ll be really fun, really challenging. I enjoyed my time in Houston, but I’m definitely focused in on next year.”

Before being dealt to the Lakers last month, Lin’s future was up in the air. The Rockets were determined to trade Lin, as well as Omer Asik, but struggled to find a team willing to take on his contract.

Fortunately, GM Mitch Kupchak and company needed an upgrade at the point guard position and were able to make a deal that satisfied both sides. Lin lost his starting job in the Rockets backcourt to Patrick Beverley and will look to reclaim his status as a starter in Los Angeles.

Clearly, Lin is embracing changing teams for the third time in his career with a breakout season potentially on the horizon.
