Jeremy Lin On Returning To Madison Square Garden: ‘Very Special To Me’

The Los Angeles Lakers could not build on their impressive double-overtime win over the Chicago Bulls Thursday night, and were unable to trump the struggling Knicks. In Los Angeles’ lone visit to Madison Square Garden, the Lakers came out flat and could not find its rhythm, resulting in a 92-80 loss.

For Lakers guard Jeremy Lin, it was a return to the place that made him who he is today. The Knicks were the first team to give Lin a true place in the rotation and the guard took the league by storm in his time there. After the game, Lin spoke to the New York media and talked about what it means to play in MSG, via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

“Linsanity” has died down and the guard has been bouncing around ever since dominating headlines with the Knicks. Although Lin is not putting up the numbers he was during the run, he has developed into a solid NBA point guard. At this point, it is unclear whether or not he will return to the team, but he has had some great moments with the Lakers.

Speaking of the Lakers, they now stand at 13-35 and without Kobe Bryant, they are struggling to find an identity. They are 1-9 in their last ten games and fans are just wanting this season to end, so the franchise can officially start its rebuilding process.
