Hill expanded his offensive game and ultimately enjoyed a career year in terms of numbers thanks to getting consistent minutes for the first time in his career. With a team option looming this off-season, Hill said it is ‘up in the air’ whether the Lakers will pick it up according to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News:
Jordan Hill said it's "up in the air" on if Lakers will exercise $9 million team option on him

Hill’s option is for $9 million next season making it a big question mark whether the Lakers will decide to keep him on board. By keeping him, the Lakers would put a big dent in the salary cap space that they have carved out for this summer.
The draft and free agency will play major roles in Hill’s return as well. If the Lakers bring in another young big in the draft or a big-name free agent, the team may choose to go with a cheaper option to keep in the front court with guys like Tarik Black and Ed Davis costing less to bring back.
