As much as people want to claim there is no rivalry between Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, the four matchups between two teams is always something marked on the calendars of the players involved every season.

This season is no different for second-year forward Julius Randle. Head coach Byron Scott, although still denying the rivalry actually exists, and Randle are looking forward to the opportunity of facing off against the Clippers at the Staples Center on Christmas Day.

The Lakers will be 29 games into the 2015-16 NBA season by the time the face the Clippers on Dec. 25. Coach Scott and company should have a good sense of where the team is headed at that point in time with hopes of making this matchup on Christmas Day a competitive one.

After their showdown at Staples Center on Dec. 25, the Lakers won’t play the Clippers again until Jan. 29. Following their second matchup, these two teams will have to wait until April to face each other again. They’ll play in back-to-back games against one another on April 5 and 6.
