Lakers News: Byron Scott, Julius Randle Speak On Lack Of Trust Among Starters

Even though the young nucleus of the Los Angeles Lakers have been hard at work this off-season looking to improve before next season, that doesn’t mean they can’t take some time out to enjoy the perks of living in L.A.

Julius Randle, D’Angelo Russell, and Jordan Clarkson all came together last season and now the team has added the likes of Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac to form one of the best young cores in the entire NBA.

In between their constant workouts and Summer League the trio of Randle, Russell, and Clarkson took time to host a screening for the new Jason Bourne movie starring Matt Damon (via Russell’s Instagram)

Good times hosting the VIP screening last night with my teammates. Check out #JasonBourne this weekend!

When you are a member of the Lakers you are more than just a member of the organization, you become a celebrity. Luke Walton is already set to throw out the first pitch at a Dodgers game and all new players quickly see their social media following rise up and more cameras following them in their everyday lives.

It is also great to see Randle, Russell, and Clarkson all hanging out together. There were questions about Russell’s maturity and whether the team was truly accepting of him in the midst of the Nick Young incident last season. It looks as if that has passed, however, and everyone is on the same page.

Russell and Randle certainly seemed to make an impact during their time with Team USA and Clarkson has been a constant at the Lakers practice facility since signing his new contract this off-season. With those three growing together, the Lakers truly have the foundation for something special in the coming years.
