The Los Angeles Lakers Summer League team has been in Las Vegas since Friday night, participating in four out of their five scheduled games thus far. The NBA Summer League is a great place for the die-hard NBA fan, and according to Randle the Lakers definitely have the most fan support in Las Vegas. So much so, Randle described the fan support as fun and ridiculous, and compared Vegas to LA.

“It’s ridiculous, it’s kinda like Vegas is LA almost,” Randle told LakersNation.com. “Obviously we have the most fans here for the game…It’s kinda fun and ridiculous at the same time.”
Julius Randle finished the night with 12 points (4-9 FG), six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and three turnovers. After their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Randle said the biggest difference in his game during NBA Summer League has been his patience and ability to read the defense. At times, Randle’s moves can seem premeditated and stiff, rather than adjusting to what the defense gives him.
“I’m being more patient, and reading how the defenses are guarding me. From there I’m able to operate and be more efficient.”
In his first Summer League game on Sunday, Randle scored 10 points, grabbed two rebounds and committed two turnovers. His stat line for Monday’s game was 14 points, four rebounds, three assists, five turnovers and one block.
Before Randle made his way over to the set of NBA Starters, as a special guest on NBA TV, Randle was asked whether he could see himself playing small forward. Though Randle insisted what position he plays is not his decision, he also said he’s able to play “all over the floor.”
The Lakers resume their Summer League schedule on Friday at 3:30 PM against the Denver Nuggets.
