The 2014-15 NBA season has not been kind to the Los Angeles Lakers as they have dropped their first four games. With four games in five nights against Western Conference playoff contenders, the Lakers have given up 118 points per game.

While Kobe Bryant hasn’t particularly shot the ball well, he has tried his best to keep his Lakers in games. Following the loss to the Golden State Warriors, Bryant was asked about his play so far via Los Angeles Daily News’ Mark Medina:

Kobe’s response was in reference to ESPN ranking him the 40th best player in the NBA before the start of the season. Since ESPN’s article that blamed him for the franchise’s downfall, Kobe hasn’t been shy in expressing how he really feels and it’s clear he is determined to prove his doubters wrong.

Through four games, Kobe is adjusting and seeing what he can still do after two consecutive season-ending injuries. During this process, the five-time champion is averaging 24.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 32 minutes per game.
