Kobe Bryant ‘Learned A Lot’ From Muses Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson

Chicago Bulls v Los Angeles Lakers

Once Kobe Bryant officially retires from the NBA, the future Hall of Famer will be considered one of the best players to ever play the game. Bryant will leave behind a legacy that’ll be tough to match for players that follow in his footsteps in the years to come.

What will Kobe Bryant make this season? Find out here!

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar recently talked about being fortunate enough to soak up the knowledge from NBA legends Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan throughout his career in order to become the player he is today. Bryant claims to have learned a lot from his “muses” during a career that has spanned almost two decades, via Sina:

”I’ve been very fortunate to speak to my muses. Magic, and Michael in particular. I’ve learned a lot from them, I’ve asked questions, they have given me very insightful answers that have helped guide me, and have helped mentor me along my career. I’ve been very fortunate to be able to reach out to my muses.”

Bryant has always been a player anxious to learn and improve. Kobe has been relentless in his pursuit to be the best player he can possibly be and there’s no better way to do that then to be receptive to advice from two of the all-time greats in Johnson and Jordan.

The real question from here on out is how Bryant will end his basketball career after having such a successful run in Los Angeles. Kobe has one year left on his contract with the Lakers and many believe he’ll simply retire next summer.

Despite the consensus being that Bryant will simply walk away from the game after next season, the five-time NBA champion continues to leave the door open to return for at least one more season in Los Angeles. The state of the Lakers franchise will almost certainly be a major factor in his decision. Another chance to compete for a title or possibly even a playoff run could convince him to stay a little bit longer.
