The Los Angeles Lakers got embarrassed Friday night in Boston as the Celtics dominated from start to finish to hand the Lakers their second consecutive loss. Behind 12 points and 16 assists from Rajon Rondo, the Celtics were able to put away the Lakers by 17, 113-96.

Los Angeles was undefeated against the Eastern Conference before its three game road trip and after beating the Pistons in the first match, the team has dropped its last two. The Lakers had opportunities against Boston to make a serious dent into the deficit, but they could not make timely plays on either end of the court.

After the game, Kobe Bryant spoke to the media and talked about the frustration of the team’s 5-15 record via Lakers Nation Reporter Serena Winters:

Bryant finished the night in Boston with 22 points, three assists and three rebounds to along with a horrid plus/minus of -29. As for Nick Young, the guard had 16 points off the bench and did do a good job bringing energy into the game with the second unit. However, the overall team effort was lacking and the Lakers just could not match the intensity of the Celtics.

The Lakers will now head back home to Staples Center and will be waiting for the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. Los Angeles has not had success with the Western Conference this season and will have its hands full trying to contain Anthony Davis.
