Kobe Bryant Surpasses Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as All-Time Lakers Field Goal Leader

During Sunday night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Kobe Bryant broke yet another Lakers record. After surpassing Jerry West as the all-time leader in free throws made as a Laker on Saturday night, Bryant broke yet another Lakers franchise record Sunday.

After connecting on four field goal attempts in the first half against the Timberwolves, Bryant passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the player who has made more field goals than any other player in the history of the storied franchise. Bryant connected on his 9,936th field goal as a Laker on a reverse layup in the second quarter.

The next major record for Kobe to reach is on the all-time NBA scoring list, where he will soon surpass Shaquille O’Neal (28,596) on the list.
