Kobe Bryant Talks About Jordan Hill’s Recent Play

Jordan HillThe day is fast approaching and the entire Los Angeles Lakers organization is waiting for the moment Kobe Bryant steps onto the floor. Bryant torn his Achilles late last season and the current roster is doing what it can to stay competitive in the conference as the five-time champion finishes his rehab process.

The coaching staff has made many changes to the rotation since the start of the season and its recent decision to move Jordan Hill into the starting five has worked wonders. Not only is Hill very productive as a starter, but also the team as a whole is playing better than expected. Kobe Bryant recently spoke to Lakers Blog and talked about the great efforts from Hill.

“Tremendous,” Kobe Bryant said of Hill’s play thus far. “He really worked hard this summer and got himself into good shape and shed some weight. He has a knack for the ball and is great around the rim. He has a great touch on the low post and a great touch on the perimeter. He’s been a pleasant surprise.”

So far this season as a starter, Hill has averaged 18.8 points and 12.0 rebounds per game, compared to just 6.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game off the bench. Hill has always played with great energy, but now that he is given starters minutes he is developing into one of the best going big men in the league.
