A recent post on the NBA sub-Reddit was from an athletic trainer that had worked with Kobe during his time in Las Vegas as he prepped for the Olympic games in London. It goes to explain Kobe’s freakish conditioning and dedication to his craft.

While I won’t post the entire thread on here, be sure to head over to Reddit to read the entire story.

Here’s a brief clipping of the story;

The night before the first scrimmage I remember I was just watched “Casablanca” for the first time and it was about 3:30 AM. I lay in bed, slowly fading away when I hear my cell ring. It was Kobe. I nervously picked up.

“Hey, uhh Rob, I hope I’m not disturbing anything right?”

“Uhh no, what’s up Kob?”

“Just wondering if you could just help me out with some conditioning work, that’s all.”

I checked my clock. 4:15 AM.

“Yeah sure, I’ll see you in the facility in a bit.”

Never change, Kobe. Never change.

Once again, to read the entire story head over to the NBA page on Reddit for the full thing.
