Los Angeles may have lost more than just the game as Kobe Bryant left the court after injuring his shoulder. Bryant will have an MRI on Thursday and find out more about the sore shoulder. Kobe played a little under 30 minutes against the Pelicans and he spoke to the media about his minutes restriction after the game, via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:
Kobe after being asked how he feels (on TWC): “The reality is I’m doing some pretty phenomenal things in 30 minutes.”

Kobe has been resting his body as of late and it’s part of the Lakers’ overall plan of preserving his body. Byron Scott would like to limit Bryant’s play on the court to just 32 minutes a night and will give him games off to keep the pressure off his legs.
The Lakers are a struggling team and they remain second to last in the Western Conference behind the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team does not have a lot of bright spots aside from Bryant and fans may not be able to see him for several weeks if the coaching staff finds the shoulder injury to be a serious one.
