Kobe, Vanessa Bryant Join Former President Bill Clinton In Fight To End Youth Homelessness

As many of you may know, Kobe and Vanessa Bryant have committed to ending youth homelessness in Los Angeles.

The Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation partnered with a resource center in Hollywood called My Friend’s Place last summer, and has remained committed to the cause.

Kobe was recently the honorary chair of HomeWalk in LA in mid-November, and had previously spent a night on Skid Row–even chronicling his experience in a YouTube mini-series.

Now, according to Vanessa Bryant via Instagram (@LadyVB24), the power couple joined former President Bill Clinton in celebrating the inception of Step Up on Vine–which is a housing project in Hollywood–on Monday evening.

Here’s the direct quote from Vanessa’s Instagram preceded by a picture of herself with Kobe and the former President:

“Tonight Kobe and I joined former President Clinton as we celebrated the grand opening of Step Up on Vine, a permanent supportive housing project in Hollywood as a part of our commitment to end youth homelessness through the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. KVBFF.org #KVBFF”

Kobe also commented on the event, taking to his newfound Twitter account for a statement and picture:

Vanessa went on to elaborate on the facility, even sharing a few pictures:

It means so much to Kobe and I to be able to see how Step Up on Vine will directly impact young people by not only providing food, clothes and shelter but by offering vital services addressing their overall health and life skills. The building is amazing and has a Platinum Leed Certification. So happy to see this vision come to life! For more info please visit KVBFF.org #KVBFF

The project itself is part of a Clinton Global Initiative commitment, and the celebratory fundraiser’s proceeds went to Step Up and The Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation.

The Bryants–who recently announced their reconciled marriage–have remained committed to the fight against youth homelessness despite their personal issues.

I personally had an inquiry about donating clothes, and Vanessa Bryant was extremely helpful in navigating me on how to go about it; through her Instagram account. Similarly, Kobe has taken an extremely hands on approach and appears to be as driven towards the goal of eradicating all homelessness in Los Angeles as he is towards winning an NBA Championship.
