How does Kobe get around when he’s not in his helicopter? And what did the Mamba
have to say about getting benched during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game? All that
and more on LNTV.
Alright we’ve got seventeen games left people! Seventeen games until Playoffs. Annnd.
the Lakers lost on Sunday night to the Grizzlies. But you know what? It doesn’t matter.
That’s why Mike Brown sat Kobe out in the fourth quarter. He didn’t want him to get
tired….For the Playoffs in seventeen games… Maybe he should sit Kobe out now so he’s
rested for next season.
Here’s what Kobe had to say to reporters about being benched:
Video Clip: “If you guys are looking for a story, I’m not going to give you one. I can’t sit
here and criticize his decisions. I’m not leading this ball club, that’s not something I can
afford to do. I have to have his back. I’ve had his back the whole season (so) I can’t start
doing something crazy now, it makes no sense.”

Okay, everyone has been talking about how classy Kobe is for having Mike Brown’s
back. Now, listen to what he says in the very end:
Video Clip: “Reporter: Are you excited to see Fisher next Thursday? Kobe: No.”
Annd, it’s time for the Rumor Mill: For all you trade mongers, Kobe is not being traded.
I can’t believe any of you would even think that. He has a no trade clause in his contract.
And Jim Buss went on 710 ESPN and squashed these ridiculous rumors. But he also let
slip that he thinks Kobe will be around for more than two more years, saying that their
focus isn’t to win just a sixth championship, but a seventh or an eighth. Ending with “I
think Kobe is going to be a Laker for life and I’m pretty sure he’s not going to hang them
up after two years.”
Attention, Kobe stalkers.
The black mamba has new wheels. According to the most reliable source on the internet,
TMZ, Kobe paid for his new Ferrari four fifty-eight Italia with three hundred twenty-nine
thousand dollars in cash. And then he lit fistfuls of thousand dollar bills on fire.
Tonight, the Lakers play the Warriors at 7:30 pm Pacific Time. The Lakers are eight and
two in their past ten visits to Oracle Arena. And the Warriors are looking pretty injured.
Andrew Bogut is out with a fractured ankle as is Stephen Curry. Follow LakersNation on
